"I'm just a normal guy, I swear."

That's the first thing he says when we sit down to talk. And it's true, in a way. He's not wearing a suit or tie, and he's not surrounded by an entourage of stylists and publicists. He's just a guy, in a T-shirt and jeans, sitting across from me in a hotel lobby. But of course, he's not just any guy. He's the Sexiest Man Alive.

And he's not just the Sexiest Man Alive, he's also one of the biggest movie stars in the world. He's got a new movie coming out, and he's about to start filming another one. He's got a wife and two kids at home. He's got a lot going on.

But he's taking a break from all of that to talk to me, because he knows that I'm a big fan. And he's being surprisingly open and honest about what it's like to be the Sexiest Man Alive.

"It's surreal, you know?" he says. "I still can't believe it. It's an honor, and I'm very flattered, but it's also a little bit weird."

He's not wrong. It is weird. It's weird for him, and it's weird for me. I feel like I'm sitting across from a movie star, not a real person. But he is a real person, and he's just as nice and down-to-earth as you'd hope he would be.

"I mean, it's not like I wake up every morning and think, 'I'm the Sexiest Man Alive,'" he says. "I don't think anyone does. It's just not something that you think about."

But of course, he must think about it sometimes. He must think about what it means, and how it affects his life.

"It's definitely something that my wife brings up more often than I do," he says with a laugh. "She likes to remind me that I'm the Sexiest Man Alive. It's nice to hear, but it's not something that I dwell on."

And it's not something that he should dwell on. Because at the end of the day, he's just a normal guy. A normal guy who happens to be the Sexiest Man Alive.
